Introduction
The aim of the International Room is to bring our Lostock international students together and help motivate them in their learning, reduce their anxiety levels, and allow them to integrate different languages and skills, The EAL club will be open for our students on Monday/Wednesday/Friday during break & lunch times. The aim of this Club is to help students achieve their true potential.
In our International Room, EAL students and their friends will meet up with their TAs and Teaching Staff. This will help them get to know each other and share their experiences. We want our students to become more skilful in English language and nourish their abilities. They can share their country’s pictures, enjoy music , engage in craft activities, and share their favourite memories.
It is a great way to make new friends, get help with any homework, or ask for any advice if they need to. It will be a good opportunity for these students to communicate and develop their social and practice their English speaking skills. Also, once a month our international students will host “Afternoon Tea” with our SLT, teaching staff and TAs.
This is an amazing space! It has helped me to settle in and feel confident that I have somewhere to go to for support. EAL Student |
